Sales of Baltik Vairas, the largest bicycle manufacturer in Northern Europe, surged 93% year-on-year in the three months ended 28 February to EUR 14.369 million. EBITDA grew nearly tenfold to EUR 0.848 million in the fiscal second quarter, from EUR 0.088 million in the same period last year. Baltik Vairas with Šiauliai „Aušra“ Museum and city administration has taken the lead to create city‘s bicycle transport system. On April 8th Baltik Vairas has donated 30 MTB type bicycles. Their worth is about 6,5 thousand EUR, with custom made decor.
On the primary project stage it will be available to take bicycles in 3 stations: near Chaimas Frenkelis Villa, near Athletics and Health center as well as near Šiauliai tourism information center. Bicycle will have to be returned to the same station as it was taken from. It is pilot project to find out bicycle use habits, culture and to encourage citizens to work out.Read more
Baltik Vairas, the manufacturer of quality e-bikes and bicycles, made a decision to recall approximately 4100 units of e-bike batteries, produced by REVA GmbH. The manufacturer discovered that, if the manual was not followed precisely, the batteries can suffer from defective sealing, which could cause the conditions for the accumulation of moisture inside the battery and may, in turn, lead to self-ignition. Due to the fact that the battery supplier is bankrupt, Baltik Vairas takes its own responsibility to resolve this issue.Read more
